Job Description

Our growing company is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of Business Intelligence Associate - Jnr. This is a managerial role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business success. As the BI Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of BI developers and analysts, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes, and dashboard/report creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and BI solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data, implementing best practices for data governance and management.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and performance standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies, tools, and trends, and drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving any issues that arise during development and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting insights and recommendations derived from BI solutions to support strategic decision-making.

Requirement Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with computers and analytics software
  • Technical expertise in data mining, data segmentation and data models
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience analyzing datasets using statistical tools, and software
  • Attention to detail and a solid ability to recognize patterns, anomalies, and trends in large datasets.
  • Analytical skills to collect, organize, clean, and analyze large datasets.
  • Robust math, critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and research skills
  • Ability to summarize and express complex information into concise, and easy-to-understand business reports.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with custom report generation

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong proficiency in BI tools and technologies
  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies is a plus.
